Getting Ready for our one and only Holiday Bazaar

Olympia High School, every year, does a bazaar called the Olympia High School Antique and Craft BEAR-zaar.  It is a fundraiser for their ASB association and we do very well.  It is amazing what talented people there are selling their wares, including Randy.  He is in the process of finishing up a table and it looks beautiful so far.  Can't wait to see the finished product.  These tables are priced at $280.  Hope to see you at the BEAR-zaar. Randy and I have been busy getting ready for the Olympia High School 'Bear-zaar'

Randy has been in the garage working on the wine barrel stave candle holders while I have been busy making my jewelry.  He is in the process of making a three leg table.  Can't wait to see how that turns out. In the meantime, go to my blog, zb's creation (the link is below the heading) and see what I have been making.  If you see anything that you are interested in purchasing, contact us or go to our Etsy store (on the left margin) and see what we have for sale.

The Bear-zaar is set for the Saturday before Thanksgiving (November 23rd) from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. at Olympia High School on North St. It is a fundraiser for the Associated Student Body. See you there.

Lacey Community Market

It has been awhile since I have been in this blog.  Both our son's have graduated from High School and both are Eagle Scouts!  Woo-Hoo!  Couldn't be happier.  So...we now have some free time to have some fun.  I am planning a trip to Poland this fall.  I am chaperoning students from this area and so fundraising is huge.  Our Association that this trip is afiliated with, have been selling items at the Lacey Community Market the last month and is gearing up for two more:August 11th and September 11th.  I will be selling my jewelry with a Polish twist and Randy will be selling his candle holders.  Come see what else you might like to purchase when you are in the area. SNOWMA-GET-AN in Olympia Washington

Amazing how much snow fell on us in just a short time AND the freezing rain.  We lost power for three days and 20 hours.  During that time, our sons took the effort of engaging in conversations that didn't rely on cell phones or facebook. Funny how that works.  We played uno by candle-light and we finished statements like, "If I were a ________ what would you be?" (fruit, country, book, etc) My husband and I are truly blessed with what we have and are grateful to the friends that helped us through this challenging experience.  Here are some of the pictures I took during that time.

Happy New Year

To our family to yours we hope you have a warm and safe 2012.  It is amazing how the time has gone by.  The holidays were filled with friends and family and of course, creating beautiful tables and jewelry.  Randy was able to finish a table for a friend of ours while I was busy creating pendants for friends and family.  We even got a chance to sell some of our wares with Blue Heron Candle Company over our Winter break.  We made enough to replace our depleated supplies of materials to keep us going for awhile.  We are hopeful for this year to be a blessed year.
